I passed the 200 mile mark on the Lands End to John O’ Groats Virtual with a run at Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia. I’ve been pleased with how the month of June has been going averaging 40 miles per week on the journey up the length of the UK.
I’ve still got a very long way to go and I see this challenge lasting through the majority of October. It’s amazing that there have already been four finishers in the event.
Stonewall Resort continues to be one of my favorite places in the area to run. There is a nice variety of trails and the roads are not very busy. The views are great also.
I’m going to continue to try and average 40 miles per week for the rest of June and hopefully increase that for July. I was supposed to do a half marathon on July 11 but that has now been cancelled so I will keep chipping away at the 874 miles for the virtual run.
